Thrown off by size chart
I measured between an 8 and a 10 and ordered up, expecting to alter down. It was enormous on me. While in pants, I wear an 8 or 10, I'm somewhat pear shaped and often wear much smaller dress sizes when they're fitted on top and flared on the bottom. I KNEW that and tried to find more information about fit by chatting in to find out this information but wasn't given any useful info on fit. I'm sharing this review in case there's somebody else out there like me: one who knows how clothes fit them but need info on the fit of this dress to make the right choice. I ended up with a size 6 which is really a pretty typical dress size for me to wear, despite the fact that that's not where I fell on the measurement chart. The skirt is roomy, so if you're like me, order by your bust and waist measurement instead!
