Let’s be honest — how many of you have some form of a quote board on Pinterest that you take way too much pride in? My hand is definitely raised! Whether they be motivational, inspirational, humorous, or romantic, quotes are a way for us to relate with certain feelings and express ourselves when we can’t quite find the right words (or just aren’t eloquent enough to come up with “we loved with a love that was more than love” on our own. Thanks for that one, Edgar!) Either way, using love quotes for your wedding is the perfect opportunity to put that Pinterest board to use and express your love for one another to all your family and friends. From the marriage vows to reception decor, we have a full list of ideas that you can perfectly incorporate into your big day! Psst…Don’t forget to keep scrolling to find the full list of our favorite 48 wedding quotes! Plus, we’ve got some free printables that you can use for your wedding day! 12 Ways to Use Love Quotes for a Wedding You’d be surprised at how many fun and unique ways there are to add your favorite sayings all throughout your ceremony and reception! Remember: with everything, moderation is key, so cramming quotes into every little space isn’t necessarily going to be a huge crowd pleaser. Find a few favorites that work best for you and leave it at that. Maybe you and your fiancĂ© are planning to add them into your marriage vows. Perhaps you want to print one on the back of the programs or place some framed signs near the bar or dessert tables. Needless to say, there are endless options and we’re just here to offer a few! From chalkboard signs to printed bar napkins, check out these fun and easy ideas! Framed Prints - Printables are super popular now and you can find gorgeous ones at every price point! Literally…we’ve found super pretty ones that are completely free for you to print and others that are shipped to you and pre-framed, for around $40. And just because we’re super nice, we decided to include a few free prints for you to download at the bottom! Chalkboards - Definitely one of my personal favorites, especially since chalkboards are so trendy right now! Lucky for you, chalkboards are sold everywhere (I've even found great ones at Target's dollar section!) so whether you purchase a pre-framed one from a local department or craft store, or use chalk paint and a piece of wood to create your own, they’re a pretty easy find and usually reasonably priced! Edibles - It might sound a bit weird, but it’s totally a thing! Couples are having wedding cakes, cupcakes, and even cookies made with sentimental phrases written on them. Whether you write out a whole song and have it printed on your cake or simply have the phrase “it was always you” frosted onto a cupcake, your guests will enjoy devouring such sweet words (literally)! Programs - It may sound simple and it is! If there’s a particular phrase that’s especially meaningful to you but you don’t want to include it in the decor, have it printed onto your wedding program or perhaps even your invitations! Backdrop - This is definitely the boldest option for using love quotes in a wedding, but when done successfully, it’s oh-so pretty! Create a backdrop for either the ceremony or photo booth by either getting a large drop cloth or giant roll of paper and painting a long quote or passage on it. If you’re not quite sure what the outcome will look like, Style Me Pretty has a gorgeous example. Wood Palettes - You’ve probably seen the million different DIY projects that involve wood palettes, so I’m here to add another! Put your painting skills to work (or just use spray paint and stencils) and write a quote or phrase on a wood palette. It’s big enough to make a statement and will also beautifully fit in with a rustic or whimsical theme. Cassie Rosch Photography Photo Display - If you’re a total photo junkie or you just like taking tons of selfies of you and your fiancĂ© (#engaged) then you might enjoy putting together an arrangement of all of your favorite photos to be displayed at your cocktail hour or reception. Depending on how you do it (framed, clipped to a string like a banner, collage, etc) you can add in images of your favorite sayings and love quotes. This also would be a great idea if you decide to create a display to honor your family members and friends who have passed. Mirrors - Start scouring vintage boutiques, antique stores, and second-hand shops for old mirrors that you can use in your decor. It’s the same concept as a chalkboard display, but works better for a vintage-themed event or more glamorous soiree. Paint your favorite saying onto the glass mirror and you’ll have a gorgeous piece of art! Just Write Studios has a perfect tutorial to see just how easy it is! Table Decor - Who doesn’t love a good place setting? Decorate the reception tables by using handwritten quotes instead of table numbers. Give each place setting their own printed phrase by cutting down a print to fit perfectly on their plate. It’s simple, chic, but will definitely stand out! Wine Bottles - If you're anything like me, you probably have more empty wine bottles lying around than you care to admit (kidding!...kind of...). Either way, wine bottles make GREAT wedding decor and are even prettier when they have something pretty written on them! Printed Napkins - Depending on the size of the wedding, you can either print on napkins at home or order some from a company like Memorable Wedding on Etsy! They’re a bit too informal to be used at the dinner tables, but they would work great up at the bar or desert table! Favors - What wedding guest doesn’t like getting a special take-home treat? Whether you add a quote onto that jar of M&M’s or on the back of a can coozie, it’s a personal touch that they can take home with them! 48 Quotes You’ll Want to Steal Figuring out how you want to use quotes in your wedding is the easy part, but deciding just which ones to use — now that’s tough!
