A Magical Day in St. Petersburg, Florida

Erin and Andrew Kappers had a wedding day they will never forget on May 20, 2022, in the lovely city of St. Petersburg, Florida. Even though the day started with thunderstorms in the forecast, the weather turned around just in time -- The clouds parted and the sun shone brightly for their beautiful beachfront ceremony.

One of the highlights of the wedding was the bridesmaid dresses. They chose Kennedy Blue’s  sea glass bridesmaid dresses. This color is a soft, light blue-green, which perfectly matched the ocean at their beach wedding. The bridesmaids looked amazing in their sea glass dresses, and the color enhanced the coastal feel of the entire wedding.

The bridesmaids wore a variety of Kennedy Blue styles, each one adding its own unique flair to the wedding:

• Mackenzie: Ruching on the bodice and a really creative strappy back design make this dress a super unique bridesmaid dress option.
• Gabby: This dress has a modest v-neckline, criss cross ruching on the bodice, and an adorable bow detail.
• Brittany: A modest v neck, slitless floor length skirt, and thick straps will all ensure your bridesmaid feels confident and comfortable all day.

The variety in styles allowed each bridesmaid to feel comfortable and beautiful, while the cohesive sea glass color tied the entire bridal party together beautifully.

A Special Ceremony by the Ocean

The ceremony was held by the ocean, creating a romantic and serene atmosphere. Around 100 guests attended, enjoying the beautiful view and the sound of the waves. Erin wore a gorgeous wedding dress by Martina Liana, which she found at Nicole Maree Bridal. Andrew looked dashing in his suit from The Modern Groom, complete with a tie from The Tie Bar.

Personal Touches and Thoughtful Details

Erin and Andrew wanted their wedding to be special and meaningful for everyone who attended. They added many personal touches to show their love and appreciation for their guests. Each table had personal notes, making everyone feel special. Instead of a traditional guest book, they used postcards, which added a fun and unique touch. Erin and Andrew also wrote their own vows, making the ceremony even more heartfelt. 

A Lovely Cocktail Hour and Tropical Wedding Reception

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour under the tiki hut area at Postcard Inn. The setting was perfect for mingling and celebrating with the newlyweds. Due to the weather, the reception was moved indoors, but it didn't dampen the spirits. The indoor reception was just as beautiful and filled with joy. They made sure to incorporate the tropical beach theme to every detail of the wedding decor and floral arrangements.
